摘要

In the summer of 1987, the First International Satellite Land Surface Climatology Project (ISLSCP) Field Experiment (FIFE) was conducted to study planetary boundary layer (PBL) processes. On July 11, a newly-designed range height indicator (RHI) scan strategy was first tested to explore PBL structures. Numerical modeling was employed to investigate the compatibility, in the qualitative and quantitative sense, among various FIFE mean and statistical quantities obtained from RHI observations.
