摘要

The effects of utilizing the high resolution LU/LC data on the meteorological simulation results, biogenic emissions, estimates, and simulation results of air quality, are discussed. The air quality model sensitivity modeling resulted that the higher the air temperature the higher the ozone concentrations. The LU/LC changes not only modify the meteorological conditions, but also affect the biogenic emissions in the HGA atmosphere. The analysis results indicate that there are benefits of greening the Houston-Galveston metropolitan area, such as lowering air temperature and thus the reducing the photochemical production of ozone.
