摘要
The spatiotemporal waveform evolution of self-focused high-power femtosecond pulses was analyzed using a three-dimensional phase-retrieval cross-correlation technique. Within the experimental power range, the beams shrink to a diameter of 20-25 μm in 4-mm propagation, and no catastrophic beam collapse was observed. The mechanism that blocks run-away self-focusing was clarified.
