摘要

A theoretical model and numerical code are developed to simulate the combustion and inflation processes of two-stage airbag inflators. The model is based on the transient conservation equations of mass, species, and energy for the two combustion chambers of the inflator and the discharge tank. The study performed a sensitivity analysis to investigate the effect of various design parameter on the combustion and inflation processes of two-stage airbag inflators. The three parameters that influence includes: enthalpy of gas-generation propellants, radius of gas-generation propellants and number of gas-generation propellants.
