摘要

IN THIS REPORT, THE INFLUENCE OF CURRENT ON SUCH STATISTICAL QUANTITIES AS THE MEAN, STANDARD DEVIATION, SKEWNESS, PROBABILITY FUNCTION AND EXPECTED RATE OF THRESHOLD CROSSINGS OF RANDOM FLUID FORCE ARE STUDIED BOTH WITH AND WITHOUT WAVE-CURRENT INTERACTIONS CONSIDERED.THE EFFECTS OF CURRENT AND WAVE-CURRENT INTERACTIONS ON THESE QUANTITIES ARE CLEARLY NOTED.FOR SIMPLICITY, ONLY DEEP WATER STATIONARY RANDOM WAVES UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A STEADY CURRENT UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED IN DEPTH ARE CONSIDERED.THE FLUID FORCE IS EVALUATED AT AN ELEMENT OF A CYLINDER OF UNIT DIAMETER AND UNIT LENGTH SITUATED IMMEDIATELY BENEATH THE MEAN WATER LEVEL.(A).
