Segmental unloading point method for interpretation of some statnamic tested shafts

摘要

A series of six statnamic load tests was conducted for rock-socketed shafts for a building project in Taipei, Taiwan. The conventional static load tests were also conducted on two of the six shafts. The results of the Statnamic and static load tests are compared. In this paper, the statnamic test results are interpreted using the traditional unloading point method, as well as a new procedure, the segmental unloading point method. The segmental unloading point method yields a more reasonable prediction of the static load-displacement response than does the unloading point method, for the long shaft cases examined.
