摘要

Taiwan hasn't enough land spaces for cultivation, moreover, the riverbed bare lands are the main factor that cause massive dust, so the river management offices not only manage the rivers, they also manage the riverbeds, wonder to know the bare land distributions of rivers to plan to lend farmers or prevent fugitive dust. So the study aims to (1) collect satellite images of Lan Yang River during the dry season (annually May 1 - November 30) and rainy season (annually December 1 - next year's April 30), (2) analyze the satellite images by Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) to classify bare lands, (3) compare the difference of bare land areas between rainy season and dry season, (4) calculate the variance of bare land areas in the same season among different periods, and (5) summarize the trend of bare land areas.
