摘要
This paper is focused on the experimental evaluation on the seismic performance of steel framed structure with corrugated plate dampers (CPD). The corrugated plate dampers were made by cold-bending steel thin plates with various inclined angles, and were used to link the steel frame and the infilled wall. A series of cyclic loading tests were first conducted on the CPDs with various geometries to define the relationship between their behavior and the device details. Subsequent framed structure with strengthened infilled wall and selected CPDs was tested under cyclic load to evaluate the performance of the proposed design. It was found from the CPD component tests that adequate performance was achieved when the inclined angle of the device, with respect to the horizontal axis, fell between 70 to 80 degrees. Comparisons of test results between the moment resisting frame and the structure proposed in this study concluded that higher strength and energy dissipation capacity were achieved when the CPDs were incorporated with the steel frame and the infilled wall, which justified the effectiveness of the proposed design method.
