摘要

A study involving evaluation of parents' perceptions of programmable bricks is presented. A scale developed by Liu (2010) was adopted to evaluate the parents' perceptions of programmable bricks. The six-item scale assessed the parents' perceptions about programmable bricks on a 6-point Likert scale. For the purpose of this study, we adapted some of the original items so that we could evaluate the parents' perceptions of the usefulness of programmable bricks. Towards this end, we invited one childhood education expert, one educational psychology expert and one educational technology expert to evaluate the scale items. After all the experts had achieved a consensus, the questionnaire was revised according to the advice from these experts. The final scale had good face validity and expert validity. The differences between the parents' perceptions of the usefulness of programmable bricks and their confidence in teaching programmable bricks were tested with t-tests.
