Paper no P26: Optically and thermally controllable light scattering based on double-side poly(m-vinylcarbazole) films-coated dye-doped liquid crystal cell

摘要

The mechanism of optically controllable scattering is the light- induced dissolution of poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) into dye- doped liquid crystals, which reforms the disordered liquid cry'stal (LC) distribution into multiple and micron-sized LC domains. The generated scattering can be switched back to the original one by particular thermally induced phase separation.
