摘要
This commentary describes an additional line of evidence related to the suggestion that mechanisms of social perception facilitate the development of a perceptual model of one's own mind. Drawing on findings from mirror-touch synaesthesia, we highlight the importance of the insula in distinguishing between the perceptions of one's own experience versus someone else's.
