摘要
Cross borehole ground penetrating radar and electrical resistivity data were collected and imaged during a two-stage salt water infiltration experiment in order to better understand unsaturated contaminant transport processes. Images of difference in GPR attenuation and electrical resistivity clearly show changes in subsurface properties due to the development of the saltwater plume. A method was also developed to estimating the pore fluid concentration from the images. Results of the imaging experiment are at least partially verified through comparison with induction logging measurements, and by comparing the results of the two different imaging methods to each other.
