摘要
Two distinct modes on ignition in randomly stirred explosive gases are found depending on a Karlovitz number (Ka) indicating the time ratio between chemical reaction and turbulence. For Ka < Kac ≈ 2 ~ 10 depending on mixture fractions, minimum ignition energy (MIE) increases gradually with Ka, centrally-ignited flame kernel remains laminar torus, and outwardly-propagating turbulent flame has sharp front. For Ka > Kac, MIE increases abruptly, flame kernel is disrupted, and randomly-propagating turbulent flame has broadening front, showing distributed combustion for the first time.
