abstract = "We have demonstrated a In0.53Ga0.47As/In0.52Al0.48As single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) with single-photon detection efficiency (SPDE) as high as 74.3 % and dark count rate (DCR) of ∼107 Hz. By employing self-differencing techniques, both SPDE and DCR are significantly improved and approaching the performance limit.",
