摘要
The effect of external time-varying electromagnetic fields on electron coherence was studied. A sinusoidal electromagnetic field was found to produce a time-varying Aharonov-Bohm phase. A measurement of the interference pattern showed a loss of contrast in the form of decoherence. The magnitude of this effect was calculated for various electromagnetic field configurations. It was found that the interference pattern can disappear and then reappear as the field strength is increased.
