ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSORS IN THE BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES.

研究成果: 會議貢獻類型會議論文同行評審

摘要

The majority of the current sensors used in the biomedical sciences are electrochemical in nature and in operational mode. Conductivity, amperometric and potentiometric measurements and ion-selective electrodes are the basic classifications of these electrochemical sensors. These electrochemical sensors can be used directly as biochemical and medical sensors. Also, the incorporation of proper biocatalysts, such as enzymes, and membranes with electrochemical sensors provide a family of important biochemical and medical sensors. The principles, merits, and state of the art with respect to the development and application of these electrochemical sensors are discussed.
