摘要

Construction practitioners in Taiwan commonly control their projects merely on as-planned schedule (baseline schedule) but as-built schedule is usually used in many advanced schedule delay analysis method in some countries. How to develop as-built schedule and improve its effectiveness plays a key role in improving analytical quality of schedule delay analysis. Building Information Modeling (BIM) technique has been quickly adopted in different application domains, in which using BIM and 4D simulation techniques have been proposed and implemented as well as achieving obvious benefits especially in identifying and solving construction sequence-related problems in advance. This study proposes an approach to integrate as-built schedules and BIM models to improve the effectiveness of using as-built schedule in identifying schedule-related dispute problems. Through a real construction project in a university, the proposed approach of integrating as-built schedules and BIM models has been examined. Research results provide a vehicle to understand as-built schedule with the aid of BIM models and further to identify possible liability in schedulerelated disputes.
