Diffusion into a nanoparticle with first-order surface reaction confined within a sphere

摘要

The reaction rate for a spherical reactive particle entrapped in a spherical cavity was investigated. The reaction rate was found to vary with the particle location and the size ratio of particle to enveloping sphere. The results showed that an interaction between the particle and cavity can enhance the average reaction rate.
