Data analysis and compression of high speed videography by personal computer

Low cost frame reader made of IBM personal computer for high speed videography has been build up, the target position and time code of the frame could be recognized and the trajectory, velocity and acceleration could be calculated automatically. The block truncation coding and vector quantization has been used for the purporse of data compression, so that image of each frame could be stored in the computer, or transmitted through the telephone line in real time economically.
