摘要

The Case Center for Electrochemical Sciences (CCES) promotes and coordinates research and education in electrochemistry at Case Western Reserve University. CCES research activities encompass virtually all aspects of electrochemistry, both in basic and applied research. The principal research areas in CCES include: electrocatalysis: particularly H//2 and O//2; electrode kinetics; electrochemistry of single crystal electrodes; oxide electrode systems; corrosion and passivation of metals; electrodeposition; development of electrochemical instrumentation and new techniques; optical methods in electrochemistry (including automatic ellipsometry, Raman, and infrared); new electrochemical processes; electrofluorination; electrochemical engineering; electrochemical aspects of electronic and ionic conducting polymers; membranes; electrochemical sensors; new electrolytes for fuel cells; colloid systems including micelles; lithium electrochemistry in non-aqueous solutions; and electrochemical aspects of biomedical engineering.
