摘要
The preparation of polarized, negative electron affinity GaAs photocathodes was discussed. The photocathode was prepared using atomic hydrogen cleaning followed by heat cleaning at 450°C. Quantum efficiencies of 15% were obtained for the GaAs cathodes, when hydrogen ions were eliminated. Low temperature cleaning technique was applied for producing highly polarized electrons.
