摘要
The application of differential confocal microscopy (DCM) in studying the response of living human fibroblasts to optical pressure is discussed. The membrane responds to the optical pressure as an overdamped oscillator. The nanometer-resolution measurements on living cells are described and it is done for the first time with a noninvasive optical method. The great potential of DCM in biophysics research is demonstrated.
