摘要

Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) have been developed for a variety of applications and different markets and are considered to be a viable alternative battery technology. Applications range from micro fuel cells to battery replacements in small electronic devices such as mobile phones and laptops. The primary advantages of DMFC over existing battery technologies are increased power density and energy storage capacity, as well as the potential for uninterrupted operations. However, current DMFC technology suffers from limited power production capabilities. It is necessary to force a system to operate in conditions that correspond to the DMFC maximum power point. Since the DMFC maximum power point is a unique and fixed point of operation, load power requirements must be taken into account and the output voltage will vary with load resistance variations. In this paper, a new configuration for a DMFC/battery hybrid power system with the required controller was proposed and analyzed. The measured results proved the ANFIS controller can maintain a constant DMFC output voltage. The proposed system showed acceptable system operations under different conditions. ICIC International
