摘要

On March 11, 2011, Great East Japan Earthquake struck Tohoku Region of Japan. Huge area along the coast of the northeast Japan was seriously damages by the magnitude 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami. At that time, more than 5000 satellite images were taken within two weeks after the disaster under the international cooperation. The comparison of the images taken before and after the tsunami enhanced the serious damages of the area. In this study the authors have developed a method to compose the FORMOSAT-2/RSI images of before and after the disaster. The composed image enhanced the possible damaged areas.
