abstract = "Target identification has drawn lots of attentions in remote sensing and radar applications. Among various algorithms, the polarimetric entropy is a powerful means to discriminate between different targets. This paper begins with a brief review of polarimetric entropy and its formulation. Then, we discuss the formulas qualitatively, and based on the discussion, we propose a criterion for radar antenna design to enhance the target-identifying efficacy. Lastly, an exemplary scenario satisfying the proposed design criterion is considered. After performing full-wave scattering simulations on the scenario, the polarimetric entropies can readily be calculated, and the results outperform those in the conventional paradigm.",
