摘要

The aim of this research is to analyze the transient T-H-M coupling behavior for a multiple geologic barrier system in the near field of deep spent nuclear fuel repositories, where preliminary design concept for the disposal project in Taiwan was proposed by the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research. In order to properly simulate the multiple barrier system, a three-dimensional numerical model based on the idea of 'representative volume unit' is presented. Also, an effective iterative computational scheme is adopted for solution of the complicated transient T-H-M coupling behavior. Finite element analyses are first carried out to predict the effects of the influencing factors resulting from in-situ thermal material properties. Also, by varying the extent of space between deposition holes, a series of calculations are conducted to evaluate the distributions of temperature, saturation, and effect stresses. The numerical results are anticipated to be applicable for future reference in practical engineering design.
