組織簡介

本所係於1990年由土木工程系環境工程組擴編成為隸屬於工學院之獨立所，同時，全體教師仍以合聘方式編制為原來的土木工程系環境工程組，並負責開授土木工程系大學部環境工程相關課程。本所歷經30餘年的努力與發展，在教學、研究與服務等方面之表現深受學校、政府及社會各界認同。展望未來，本所除繼續加強與整合師資陣容、強化研究水準，經由課程之改造與精進提升學生之素質外，並積極參與社會服務工作，將本所師生之研究成果，推廣應用於實際問題之處理，以協助解決台灣地區之環境污染問題，提升國人之生活環境品質。本所長期發展五個主軸，涵蓋永續環境科技、永續環境管理、環境資源循環、生質能源開發、及工業安全衛生；研究重點包括高級物化生物處理技術、奈米環境技術、氣膠特性監測、生命週期評估、及新興污染物檢測等。
