Abstract

940nm VCSELs with small resistances (35Ω) and ultra-wide E-O bandwidths from room-temperature (31GHz) to 85°C (29GHz) operations are demonstrated. It achieves 50Gbps error-free transmission over 50m OM5 fiber without using equalization and pre-emphasis techniques.
