Abstract

Have you experienced the willful exploitation on well-designed learning platforms? It's probably a universal phenomenon but much neglected by the designers. Research quite often reports on learners' performance from the designer's aspect with little concern on the emergent aspect of the users. This study ironically reported that the playfulness implemented in the designer's game-based-learning was not well received in the users' world. Instead, the elementary schoolers developed their own way to enjoy THEIR playful learning.
