Abstract

Copper 2P core level X-ray photoelectron spectra on several high T_c superconductors La_1.85Ba_0.15CuO₄, Y_1.2Ba_0.8CuO_4-δ and Y_0.4B_0.6CuO_4-δ oxides have been measured. The results indicate the coexistence of Cu²⁺ and Cu³⁺ in these compounds.
