Abstract

In this work, an on-chip V-band 4×1 linear tapered slot antenna (LTSA) array is proposed, which is realized using a glass-based integrated passive device process. To ease the integration with the transceiver, coplanar waveguide (CPW) is chosen for the antenna input port design and a compact lumped-element CPW-to-slotline transition is employed to realize the feeding structure of the LTSA. In this way, the antenna chip size can be minimized and a compact size 8.5 mmx9.6 mm is achieved for the 4×1 antenna array.
