Abstract

A user selection algorithm is proposed for MIMO OFDMA systems with interference alignment technology. Based on the concept of the interference alignment technique, the system has to select paired users that would align the co-channel interference signals. Each user would then receive the desired signal without the interference. In this paper, the selection algorithm of the paired users is investigated to have the maximum system throughput. Each resource block is assigned to the paired users who are adjusted dynamically to have better performance in an iterative fashion. Simulation results reveal that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing scheme, and is very close to that of the optimal solution. The number of iterations for the proposed user selection scheme is pretty small.
