Abstract

The dielectric porous anodic aluminum oxide films (AAO) with embedded two-dimensional (2D) silver nanoparticles array (AgAAO) have been fabricated by electrochemical deposition. This substrate has the function of photo-induced conductivity which is attributed to plasmonic coupling among neighboring silver nanoparticles and can be applied to the optical switching. In this letter, we present the systemic analysis on the photo-induced conductivity of AgAAO films with different pore diameters and under different wavelength illuminations, and show the highly linearity between the photo-induced current and surface plasmon resonance of AgAAO films.
