Abstract

We propose a system architecture of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW). In our approach, the overall system is divided into two subsystems, namely, the session management subsystem and the session processing subsystem. The session management subsystem is in charge of session establishment and complement, session processing monitoring, as well as file storage and retrieval. The session processing subsystem mainly deals with the participants' coordination, cooperation, and communication issues. We implemented a prototype in the Multimedia Information NEtworking (MINE) Laboratory at Tamkang University.
