Abstract

Lithium aluminosilicate substrates with β-eucryptite phase are synthesized by solid-state sintering. Doping with TiO2 improves the density, strength, hardness, and coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE); however, the negative CTE becomes less after 3 wt.% is exceeded.
