Service resource management in edge computing based on microservices

Abstract

5G networks make the IoT devices and mobile devices more widespread. In order to offload the traffic from core network to edge network, the service providers deploy its computing resources and services to the edge network. However, edge network resources are less than cloud computing resources, and the need to use low coupling and autonomous features in microservices needs to be considered. Therefore, based on the characteristics of microservices, we propose a microservices platform and provide service deployment. We also propose a FSODM algorithm which provides a fast and efficient auto-scaling resource management solution.
