Query by singing and humming system based on combined DTW and Linear Scaling

Abstract

In this paper, a query by singing and humming system based on combined Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Linear Scaling is proposed. The proposed system adopts the existing techniques to estimate the query's fundamental frequency and applied DTW to adjust the result to retrieval the objective. LS is employed in the process to scale down the pitch sequence in order to reduce the computation time. Experimental results show that our system reaches MRR 0.958 which is much higher than other works and performs better in large dataset as well.
