Abstract
A printed Yagi antenna with multiple reflectors is proposed. Instead of a truncated ground plane, the reflector structure of the antenna is formed by multiple closely-spaced dipoles. Hence, the length of the antennas can be reduced, and the front-to-back ratio improved without significantly sacrificing antenna gain. Therefore, the proposed design is suitable for planar array application. The design of the proposed structure is performed using commercial finite-element method (FEM) software and is verified by measurement.
