Abstract

A planar monopole antenna for mobile communication systems (GSM/PCS/Wi-Fi/UWB) is proposed. The proposed antenna has two resonant elements. One is flower-like metal sheet and the other is metallic strip. The antenna is fabricated on a FR4 substrate. The PCS, WiMAX and UWB operation band (1.72 GHz-10.6 GHz) is achieved by an inverted triangular slit embedded in the ground plane below the feed line. Recently, most mobile phone antenna designed for GSM band that need have larger ground. In this paper, we use additional of metal for achieving its operation.
