Abstract

We have demonstrated a photon-number resolving detector based on a high efficiency InGaAs/InAlAs single photon avalanche diode (SPAD). To our knowledge, it is the first time that the photon-number resolving is inherently performed by InGaAs/InAlAs SPAD.
