Abstract

We report the demonstration of a single-longitudinal-mode 593.5-nm laser achieved via intracavity sum-frequency generation of a dual-wavelength cw Nd:YVO₄ laser using two volume-Bragg-grating reflectors. >2.5-mW 593.5-nm orange light was obtained with this compact laser system.
