Abstract

The web-based network management system with multiple mobile agents (WNMS/MMA) supports is designed and implemented for National Broadband Experimental Networks (NBEN) in Taiwan. The mobile agent technology is applied to provide efficient, flexible and intelligent network management functions, and multiple agents can be executing at a time to cooperate in managing networks. Through the friendly graphical interfaces, the network status and related information can be easily displayed and changed. Three types of mobile agents are implemented: the monitoring agent, the SNMP query agent, and the PVC auto discovery agent.
