N2 - A design of multi-band antenna using a single slot with branch edge is presented in this paper. The antenna is employed at the edge of the printed circuit board and loaded with circuit components. With the folded slot and circuit components, the antenna area has been miniaturized within 1/16 λ. The slot antenna is decomposed into several sub-networks, and the corresponding equivalent circuit is presented. The design equation can be acquired from the equivalent circuit by using the resonant condition. A dual-band design is realized, measured, and validated at 1.575 GHz and 2.45 GHz, respectively. The design procedure of the antenna can be extended into multi-band design.
