Abstract

The adsorption and orientation of antibodies on different charged surfaces was analyzed using Monte Carlo simulations. Investigations show the effects of surface charge density, solution pH and ionic strength with different dipole moments. The orientation of the adsorbed antibody was found from the Van der Walls (VDW) and electrostatic interactions. The results show the ability to predict and control antibody orientation in the development of biosensors.
