Abstract

A planar microstrip-coplanar stripline-fed Yagi-Uda antenna is presented. The antenna consists of a microstrip line to coplanar stripline transition, a reflector, a coplanar stripline-fed driver dipole, and three directors. The measured 10-dB bandwidth is 1 % at the center frequency of 10 GHz. The antenna achieves a high 10.5 dBi gain and a 15-dB front-to-back ratio. Furthermore, the cross-polarization level is more than 22 dB below the co-polarization level.
