Abstract

Strongly cascaded four-wave-mixing in CW-pumped microresonators gives rise to combs of optical frequencies. Time domain studies involving pulse shapers enable new insight into the coherence properties of the generated combs and (in some cases) allow compression to the bandwidth limit.
