Abstract
The laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) excitation spectra of the HCBr vibronic transitions was investigated in a direct current (DC) discharge supersonic free jet expansion. The details of vibrational structure and frequencies of the singlet and the triplet state were obtained from the analysis of the dispersed fluroescence spectra. The observations of triplet states was found to be helpful in determining the triplet-singlet energy gap from the dispersed fluroescence spectra.
