Abstract

Remote sensing has been widely applied in land change detections for several decades. In Taiwan, a national-scale land use/land cover change detection system has been developed to assist in the land management process. To promptly delineate the spatial data of areas that have undergone changes, and collect the results of ground surveys, a Land Change Reporting System (LCRS) is built to distribute the relevant data and investigative results via the Internet. The LCRS can thus serve as a reference for authorities in making more effective land management policies in protecting Taiwan's land resources.
