Abstract
An inversion algorithm for the analysis of dielectric constant of a uniform cylindrical object in a rectangular waveguide is studied. This algorithm is based on the method of moments and eigen-analysis requiring the reflection coefficient as input. To examine the accuracy of the inversion algorithm a circular Teflon post was placed in the sample-holder after which its dielectric constant was calculated from the measured reflection coefficient. Results are presented on the later part of the article.
