Abstract

Like anywhere else in the world, Taiwan has been making great efforts in to promote the industrialization of digital archives and related industries, with Taiwan National Digital Archives Program (NDAP, 2002-2006) was launched in 2002 to facilitate Taiwan E-Learning and Digital Archives Program (TELDAP, 2008-12). With a successful case, this paper illustrates how to establish archive cooperation mechanism through innovative thinking. The first part of this paper simply introduces achievements that have been made during these eight years and strategies that have been applied for promoting digital archives industrialization since the implementation of NDAP in 2002. Next, features of the digital archives industry and obstacles in increasing the production value are analyzed in the second part of this paper. Then, inspected from the entire cultural theory and economy, in the third part, the author concludes that to achieve a sustainable development and develop the output value, digital archives products must be integrated with storytelling so as to promote product value, and big companies are motivated to introduce digital archives and strengthen the cooperation mechanism. Finally, the LED Coral Light manufactured by Qisda are adopted as example to verify the strategyLike anywhere else in the world, Taiwan has been making great efforts in to promote the industrialization of digital archives and related industries, with Taiwan National Digital Archives Program (NDAP, 2002-2006) was launched in 2002 to facilitate Taiwan E-Learning and Digital Archives Program (TELDAP, 2008-12).
